Stay Tuned™ with iolo in 2009

With multiple top industry awards, accelerated international expansion, new 64-bit support and record-breaking sales, the top PC tune-up maker looks ahead to 2009 with a refined maxim

LOS ANGELES, CAJanuary 26, 2008 – iolo technologies, the PC tune-up experts behind #1 best-selling System Mechanic®, ushered in the New Year in style today by outlining the company’s successes in the last quarter of 2008 and its theme for 2009.

The last few months at iolo were marked by several milestones. The company just launched a new version of its flagship product, making System Mechanic 8.5 the first comprehensive utility product on the market compatible with 64-bit PCs. The company further expanded its international presence to six additional countries and now offers its English products in Australia and South Africa, as well as local language versions in Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. It also embarked on a green campaign to educate consumers about the benefits of PC tune-up in reducing e-waste and electricity consumption.

iolo’s best-selling product, System Mechanic, also racked up two top industry awards in December alone, including the coveted 5 stars ranking from Network World and another 5 star designation from PC Magazine UK.

The company celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2008 – a decade of success marked by expansion of its PC tune-up focused products into seven countries and over 18,000 storefronts, consistent recognition by Deloitte & Touche as one of the fastest growing companies in Southern California, and a growth rate going into its 10th year of more than 80 percent over the prior year alone, while the overall software utility industry saw a 14 percent decline during the same period. iolo proved the effectiveness of its leadership position again in 2008 in spite of the unfavorable economic climate with another year of sustained growth at more than 85 percent, as ranked by NPD.

Building on the company’s growth and technical development, iolo technologies’ theme for 2009 is “Stay Tuned!™”. In a succinct and memorable way, the “Stay Tuned” slogan reflects iolo’s ongoing mission and speaks to four of iolo’s many strengths by highlighting: iolo’s focus on software that keeps computers tuned up for maximum performance; products that are in tune with consumers’ evolving needs; innovative technology that iolo fine-tunes and adapts to emerging PC issues; and iolo’s goal to be an information source on the latest issues and trends in PC optimization

“This company theme describes what we do here at iolo on so many levels,” said JJ Schoch, iolo’s VP of marketing. “We are happy that our 21 million users around the world have made System Mechanic the most popular and trusted PC tune-up product and we encourage our customers to stay tuned for more exciting developments in the coming months.”

Among some of these developments are 64-bit compatibility updates for iolo’s remaining products, including its security software, DriveScrubber, the #1 best-selling secure data removal tool, and Search and Recover, the popular data recovery program.
